Up or Down - Skips in Angola

Next to the hotdog stand Just west of the circle In Angola you will find a door we recommend walking through.
From the outside it looks like a sports bar. Not the place you would choose for fun, drink and dancing.
But wait - when you walk in you will find not only is this place big, but very nice as well. A clean, well-kept club that looks more like a restaurant at first glance.
Just spend a little time at Skip's Night Club and you may not want to leave.
We stopped in the other night and were taken completely by surprise. Everyone, including the owner, greeted us with a friendly welcome.
The Fort Wayne band, Threat, was performing and doing a great job as usual. Lots of people were on the dance floor right in front of the stage.
If you are in a band, performing here, the opportunity for promotional pictures is perfect. Even a video would be easily shot here. Providing, of course, the management permits.
After dancing you might wish to escape the action but not leave the club. Well, you and your friends can find a table for six upstairs - that's right, upstairs. You can enjoy the view of the band performing and the dance floor from above.
Waitresses and bartenders can also be found here as well. This floor is equal in size to the first floor and is equipped with its own bar.
Look up, and - Wow! The ceiling is loaded with leaded glass.
Skip even goes so far as to have floor walkers who monitor the club and spot a need for another chair at your table or any other problem that may distract from the fun.
The customers shouldn't have to worry about anything. They dance and have a good time, and then they return in greater numbers.
Skip's may be in Angola, but we are sure if you make the drive once you will make it twice.
